Nicknames (aka): Ging, Gingee.
Look & Color: Ginger is a Pomeranian. Depending on how long her hair grows, Ginger has various shades of white, blond, and brown colored fur throughout. When her ever so soft and flowing hair has fully grown in, she appears as this big puffy ball of white/blond/brown mix of fur, making it almost impossible to see her face, legs, or tail. But, when she gets foo-foo'd (a term for 'washed and haircut' my mom likes to use) she turns into this tiny puppy, with short all white hair that has a semi-wool feel (still soft though), making her completely unrecognizable from her former 'full of hair' self. This just proves she's mostly all fur (but, full of love inside).
Likes: There is never a time when Ginger isn't trying to bestow on you her wonderful kisses (her licking). At any opportunity, she loves to jump up on your lap, and ferociously deliver her wet kisses upon your face. That wonderful little puppy can never keep her wet tongue in her mouth. Whether petting her, feeding her, or playing, she just wants to lick, lick, lick (gets a little too much sometimes, be we don't love her any less). Another like, and parallel to the last, is Ginger's obsession with greeting those whom come through the front door. She'll first greet you with her loud and high-pitched "bark, bark, bark". Next, as if perfectly timed, she will twirl in a circle as if chasing her own tail, stopping mid-turn for a brief moment to look up at you, and then repeat this same 'Welcome Dance!' greeting until you acknowldege her and give her some attention (that is, petting and loving, but watch out, she WILL lick you a lot!).
Dislikes: People are Ginger's thing. She's the happiest when whe has her human companions in her presence. Wheather we leave the room or the house for the day, Ginger will make her displeasure known either by having to get up and follow you closely wherever you go, or she'll send out a string of her signature barks at the door as you shut it. Also, if she's denied from giving you licks. Nothing drives her more bonkers. Not too much more. Ginger is a really happy and easy going little puppy.
Personality: Some of the words I would use to best describe Ginger's personality are: happy, loving, personable, friendly, excitable (but in a happy way), licky (likes to lick a lot), and friendly. With her little tongue sticking out, and panting to no end, she'll look at you with her pretty precious puppy face. "You're always so happy Ginger", I'll say to her because she always appears to be smiling. Also, as already alluded to, Ginger is not shy when she wants her voice to be heard. Any unusual sounds from anywhere in the house, people coming to the door, or cars pulling into the driveway will throw Ginger into a flury of neverending barks. "Ginger, stop barking please!", we'll lovingly (more like irritatedly) call out to her. But, she doesn't care, those barks of her's just keep on coming. That's just part of who she is, licks and barks, along with all the loving and friendship one could ask for in a wonderful puppy.
Best Friend(s): Lucy (miniature dapple dachshund when Ginger was a puppy), and Louie (her Yorkie Poo friend later in life). She also doesn't mind cats, and will attempt to play with them if around. But, Ginger's most valued friendship is with her human loved ones, her people family.
Favorite Food: Basic dog food and cheese, any cheese, lots of cheese, and some more cheese please. It has been written! Now go and let it be known that Ginger likes cheese.
Favorite Music: Any really happy and poppy sounding music. Ginger is always happy, so happy music is her favorite (R.E.M. - Shiny Happy People).
Favorite Movie and/or T.V. Show: Happy and sappy Movies and T.V. shows are what Ginger is about when it comes to this type of entertainment.
As a puppy what did I want to be when I grew up? A famous fashion designer. Happy (which is pretty much the theme here) and colorful clothes with lots of shinny thingy muhbobs.
